  • Mr Quitter Poem

Posted on November 2nd, 2011 VanessaT No comments

    Hi friends,

As you may know, our biggest enemy to any success is “Quitting”.  There’s 2 points where we usually quit, that is, right before we started or right before we succeed.  I’ve been privileged to have met a gentleman name Paul Seales who wrote this peom to Mr Quitter to tell him he is no longer welcome in Paul’s life.  Have a go at writing a goodbye letter to your Mr/Mrs/Ms Quitter expressing how he/she has affected your life and that he/she no longer wanted in your life because you are committed to succeed without him/her.

    My Goodbye Letter

Quitter you’re a thief in the night
A stealer of the dreams that I
Thought of and planned for, you
    Snatched away my schemes.
My compass was set for the less
Traveled road but you diverted my path
And took me down the road where
    There wasn’t any grass.
You robbed me of my tender years
But I won’t allow you to win, You’ve
Conjured up the wrath in me, you’ve
Lit a red hot flame in me and I will
    Go on to victory.
You are a stealer of dreams, the eleventh
    Of the Ten greatest sins.
But you will not conquer me because a
Winner never quits and a Quitter never Wins.
You are no longer welcome in my life Mr. Quitter

Cheers to saying goodbye to your Quitter!

  • Have you asked yourself these questions?

Posted on September 19th, 2011 VanessaT No comments

    Hi friends,

Have you stop what you are doing and ask yourself the following questions?

Why am I not getting any better financially?

How come my business is not doing well in comparison to others even with my business knowledge & skills?

Why I hate waking up every morning to go to work?

How can I get my money in order?

Why even my well paid job does not cover expenses?

Why my credit cards are always maxed out and I am in debt more & more?

    Backlinks

These are the questions that people asked at one point of their lives especially at the lowest point of their lives.  Or they never asked and hence why they ended up where they are, not happy and struggling to survive day by day.

The big news is that you are the answer to the above questions.  It all starts with you first.  Like one of my mentor, Harv Eker (a multimillionaire entrepreneur expert in psychology of money & success), says “if your subconscious “financial blueprint” is not “set” for success, nothing you learn, nothing you know, and nothing you do will make much of a difference”.

An advice that Harv’s father’s extremely rich friend gave to Harv which changed the course of his life is “if you’re not doing as well as you’d like, all that means is there’s something you don’t know….Did you know that most rich people think in very similar ways?”  For most part, rich people think a certain way and poor (middle class) people think a completely different way, and those ways of thinking determine their actions and therefore determine their results.”  He went on to ask Harv, “If you thought the way rich people do and did what rich people do, do you believe you could become rich too?”

If you want to be rich (which stems from being successful at what you are doing), wouldn’t it make sense to study how the rich think?  Then compare them to your own thinking to determine the difference, hence the results you have today?

One of the crucial things that rich people think is commitment.  Their commitment to their success, playing to win, stay focus on vehicle they are working on and not even consider getting side-tracked by either good opportunities or when things got tough.  So what are you committed to do today to change your life around?  May be, start by studying your own thoughts towards money.  Is it negative or is it positive.  Most likely, it is negative, if you are asking the above questions.  If it is, you must be willing to let go and adopt new ones that is supportive towards your money & success.

Feel free to leave your comments about this post and share your experiences.

    Cheers to commitment,

    Vanessa

  • 101 Tips To Make Money Doing What You Love

Posted on August 16th, 2011 VanessaT No comments

    Hi fellow readers,

Here’s 101 tips by Paul Piotrowski that I found may help you out to make money doing what you love.

    1. Cut Out TV Time – Instead of watching other people doing what they love (actors, athletes, etc.) while you sit on the couch, why not invest the time into becoming an Inspired Money Maker. The average US home has the TV on for over 3,000 hours per year. A 40 hour/week job is only 2,000 hours per year.
    2. Read “Think and Grow Rich”
    3. Have a Sense of Humor
    4. Be Yourself
    5. Don’t Hide Yourself – Be Accessible
    6. Visualize Your Goals Daily
    7. Have an Opinion
    8. Compliment People
    9. Stop Letting Fancy Sounding Coffee Steal Your Dreams – $5.50 coffee and snacks each day cost you $2,000/year. That could be invested into your Inspired Money Maker dreams instead. Use the money to start a business, purchase equipment, take courses, go to a seminars, etc.
    10. Learn to Listen
    11. Be a Simplifier, Not a Complicator
    12. Learn From Your Mistakes, But Don’t Be Afraid to Make Them
    13. Be Humble
    14. Read “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace Wattles
    15. Get Excited
    16. Be Original. Be Grateful. Be courageous.
    17. Be Unreasonable
    18. Stop Being Negative – Stop justifying that you’re just being realistic. See things as they really are, not worse than they are. Then, take it a step further and see things better than they are.
    19. Take Action
    20. Be Nice to People
    21. Create Your Own Luck
    22. Stop Pretending to be a Victim
    23. Don’t Worry What Others Think, That’s Their Business
    24. Learn to Master Your Habits
    25. Do Something New
    26. Use Affirmations Daily
    27. Beat the Odds – When you encounter an obstacle, realize that each obstacle you get through with your determination also eliminates 80% of your competition. Keep going, don’t give up and your odds will improve every step of the way.
    28. Just Do It
    29. Believe in Yourself – Nobody else is going to do it for you. Start now, in this moment.
    30. Don’t be Good, Don’t be Great, Be Outstanding
    31. Never Stop Growing
    32. Give to Get
    33. Plant Your Flag, Commit to the Inspired Money Maker Path
    34. Connect With Your Spirit Guides

    45. Don’t Gossip, Network – Cut out wasted time gossiping on the phone with your friends. Instead, get your friends into making money doing what they love and then each hour you spend on the phone will be networking towards both of you growing your Inspired Money Maker ventures.
    46. Aim to Improve the Universe. Think Big
    47. Don’t Give Up
    48. Get a Psychic Reading

    53. Challenge the Status Quo
    54. Learn a Positive Word Every Day
    55. Get Help Where Needed – Don’t try doing everything yourself. If you need web-design, hire a web designer. If you need logo design, hire a logo designer. 56. Instill Confidence in Others

    68. Make and Carry Your Personal Business Cards
    69. Be Polite, But Don’t Be Afraid to Express Yourself Either
    70. Don’t Waste Time on Stupid Crap – Does your desk really need to be cleaned again this week? Do your books really need to be alphabetically arranged?
    71. Watch What People Do, Not What they Say They Do
    72. Help Someone Out
    73. Think “How Do I Increase My Income by $10,000” not “How Do I Cut Expenses by $100”
    74. Be Nice to Yourself
    75. Get Rid of Stinkin Thinkin – Stop the endless negative chatter in your mind. Re-focus your internal questions on the positive.

    77. Network with People You Feel Comfortable With
    78. Don’t Use Your Kids as an Excuse
    79. Learn to Forgive – Stop wasting energy holding grudges. Forgiving someone is not the same as condoning whatever they did. It is simply letting go of the pent up negative energy inside you because it doesn’t serve you anymore. Let it go.

    Hi fellow readers,

In remembering Oprah Winfrey’s 25 years of inspiration to billions of audiences world wide and now coming to a close, I thought I share a video after watching the Oprah Winfrey show.  I hope it inspires you to pursue your dream so one day you will become a world class sensation just like Terry Fator in the video below.  His dream as a young boy was to be a “ventriloquist”.  That dreams came true after 30 plus year winning “America’s Got Talent”, appeared on Oprah Winfrey show & David Letterman.  Now he is the hottest ticket in Las Vegas.  In 2009, he signed a $100-million deal with the Mirage in Las Vegas for the next 10 years, autobiography and a live DVD hit the stores.

Enjoy the video!  I hope it inspires you to live your childhood dream.  Cheers to you pursuing your dream doing what you love and get rich doing it.

  • How To Find Your Passion

Posted on June 7th, 2011 VanessaT No comments

Hi fellow readers seeking financial success,

I found this article written by Jeremy A Gislason (owner of SureFireWealth Inc and the publisher of the self improvement series at http://www.mindmaptoriches.com).  The reason I posted this article on my blog is that it has outlined the steps to help you find your passion (which can be a very challenging excercise to do on your own without guidance).    I believe once you have found your passion, you will discover your life’s purpose.  Once you found a way to monetize your passion, your chance of succeeding in it financially will be more greater as it brings you more joy to your work and you will be committed to persevere in it until you go through the finish line despite any obstacles.  With the increasing use of the internet, it is a platform that provide lots of opportunities for you to make money by sharing your passion that can add value to others.  Cheers to finding your passion and gaining financial success from it.

How to Find Your Passion & Make Money From It

Having a job is one thing, but finding your passion in life and making money from it is another! Growing up, most of us have been taught that working on a job is not fun but it’s important to pay the bills. We’ve been forced to let some of our dreams go to pursue something that is sensible and practical.

But these are the words of ten years ago and do not necessarily reflect the situation we are in now. These days, a lot of people are proving that passion and profit actually mix! More and more people are starting to re-write their lives in the way they wanted to.

The great thing about this Cultural Revolution is that there is no age limit. You can be as young as 20 and make money from your passion for acting, or you can be as old as 60 and make money from your passion for writing.

Now that we have established that everyone can join in on this phenomenon, how do we go about pursuing it? Here are the steps:

    Step 1: Find Your Passion.

Perhaps the first thing you need to figure out is your passion. You know what you don’t want (your current job); but defining exactly what you want is trickier.

The first step is to list down all the things you want to do, but never had the chance (or time) to carry out because of your current job. Is it cooking? Gardening? Baking? Designing? Don’t be limited by these activities. Whether you’re interested in weddings, numbers, fiction or other stuffs, write them down as well.

If your mind draws a blank, I suggest you go out there and try whatever is new and exciting. Are they holding a free art class over at the community center? Why don’t you give that a go? Sometimes, we don’t even know what we want until we have tasted it.

Step 2: Narrow The List Down.

Look at your list again and narrow it down to your top three. These three should all be feasible and something that would show promise. These three should be something you are either very interested in or considerably talented at. It shouldn’t be a one-time hobby that you’d get tired of in a matter of months.

For example, arts and crafts might be interesting to you – but only if you deal with it every few months or so. If that’s the case, then cross it out. But if you know that you’ll never get tired of anything that has to do with weddings, then put that in.

Narrowing the list down gives you a more realistic take on your passion. As you conclude your top three, your mind will start churning out ideas on how to make money off them.

    Step 3: Pick A Winner.

Of course, you have to pick only one. You’re just starting to climb out of your shell. Dealing with more than one passion can distract you and divide your attention. That’s not something you want at the moment.

From the top three, pick one that has the best chances of really making money. Pick the one that interests you the most.

Step 4: Conduct Proper Research Or Feasibility Studies.

As fun as this business venture might seem, you still have to take a few things seriously. Just because baking cakes is your passion doesn’t automatically mean you’ll succeed in the game. It means you have a pretty good chance of succeeding as long as you’re backed by your determination and your business sense.

You still have to make sound decisions when it comes to building your empire. For example, you chose to start with homemade brownies. Find out who your target market is, what sort of brownies you should make, your marketing strategy, and your long-term plans. Build a serious feasibility study around your passion and you’ll definitely make it big in no time.

    Step 5: Stay Positive Always.

If your research or study yields good results, then go with it. By all means, don’t let the opportunity pass. It’s not going to be easy setting your business up, but it will be 100 times more fun and interesting because you’re dealing with something you’re really passionate about.

The trick here is to stay positive at all times. This way, you’re not likely to give up on your cause and you’ll be more empowered to overcome every possible challenge that comes your way. After all, this isn’t just a company you’re working for. This is your own company and your own vision.

Pursuing our passions should be natural to us, but society has trained us to be afraid of it. Now we know better. We don’t have to settle for dead end jobs we hate. We have the power to turn our passion into a real business. You can have the most obscure hobby in the world and still make money off it if you’re really determined to do so. It’s all in the mind and in the heart.

    Hi fellow readers,

I came across this post by Kate Voleman which I fully agreed that if we work on things that we are passionate about, we will be more inspired to get up in the morning and accomplish it.   If you are in a business or in a career that you are passionate about, you will always be internally happy and succeed at it alot faster.  Kate’s post is old, but I think the questions she asked are relevant to helping you determine your passion.  Good Luck!

What Does Inspiration Look Like to You?

What inspires you? What gets you so excited that you can hardly wait to jump out of bed in the morning? We all have something that gets us so jazzed, so pumped, so insanely excited to get out there and make something happen! What is that for you? What do you do that makes everything else pale in comparison?

There is nothing quite like watching someone do something they are good at. When we are doing the things that we are most passionate about, that is when we are at our best. Our most genuine, unique self truly shines when we are doing the thing we were meant to do. What does that look like for you and more importantly are you doing it?

I had the opportunity to speak at a conference this weekend and I was so inspired to spend the day with entrepreneurs who are so passionate about what they are doing. You could feel the energy as they spoke about their dreams and where they are headed. I believed that they are doing exactly what they are meant to do.

Have you ever found yourself at a crossroads in life? It’s like you can actually envision yourself staring out at the many opportunities ahead, but when you try to take a step forward you freeze and just can’t seem to figure out which direction to go. Which path of the many should you choose? Better yet, which WILL you choose?

    Be inspired!
